Development of new marine and land infrastructure
The Gove Port Tourism Precinct project, which includes a $2 million investment from DEAL, will be delivered in partnership with Gumatj Corporation, the NT and Australian Governments and will see new marine and land infrastructure developed next to the Gove Boat Club to support existing tourism operators, and attract new yacht and cruise tourism operators to the region.
Technical design and engagement with industry and end users is due to commence in January 2020. Following this time, procurement for a contractor to deliver the works will be undertaken. There will be a focus on Indigenous employment outcomes in construction and supply.
