Travelling Tadpole Swim School  

In 2016, DEAL provided investment support to Travelling Tadpole Swim School through our Economic Development Fund to assist with the expansion of its operations into the broader East Arnhem region. This allowed for new training equipment such as mannequins and kickboards to be purchased, as well as for new swim teachers to undertake AUSTSWIM courses enabling the delivery of school swimming and other programs in communities around the region. Travelling Tadpole Swim School Director Jamie Kokles-Ridgway stated “Without this Fund, the expansion to provide services to the community would not have been possible for an extended period of time. Assistance in funding of the new swim teachers was the most beneficial for the community as we are now able to deliver school swimming and the community water safety program to the remote Aboriginal communities each year. “
